Is There Bacteria Hiding on your Makeup Tools…

Makeup brushes and beauty tools are an essential part of any beauty regime. However, it’s important to clean them regularly to avoid harmful bacteria buildup, which can lead to skin irritation, breakouts, and infections. In fact, makeup brushes and tools can be a breeding ground for bacteria, especially when they come into contact with oil, makeup, and dead skin cells. Here are some reasons why it’s important to clean your makeup brushes and beauty tools regularly…

Firstly, cleaning your makeup brushes and beauty tools will keep them in good condition and help them last longer. When you use dirty brushes and tools, it can cause the bristles to become clogged and damaged, making them less effective in applying makeup. Regular cleaning will help to maintain the shape and quality of your brushes and tools, ensuring they remain in good condition for longer.

Secondly, cleaning your brushes and tools will help to prevent the spread of bacteria. When you use dirty brushes and tools, bacteria can transfer to your skin and cause breakouts and infections. Regular cleaning will help to eliminate harmful bacteria, ensuring that your skin remains healthy and clear.

Finally, cleaning your makeup brushes and beauty tools will improve the overall quality of your makeup application. When you use dirty brushes and tools, it can affect the colour and texture of your makeup, making it harder to achieve a flawless finish. Regular cleaning will help to ensure that your makeup applies smoothly and evenly, giving you a flawless and professional look every time.

How do you clean your makeup brushes and beauty tools?

To keep both my personal and professional makeup brushes and tools clean, I use products from the ISOCLEAN range. IsoClean Makeup Brush Cleaner is one of my all time favourites! It cleans your makeup brushes by removing all makeup buildup and kills 99.9% of bacteria, and the best part is that your brushes are ready to use again in as little as 60 seconds!

For makeup sponges, I use the IsoClean Cosmetic Sponge Cleaner by adding a small amount along with the sponges to the washing machine and pop them on a normal cycle. After they are done, I remove and air dry.

As for keeping makeup products clean and free from bacteria, I opt for the IsoClean Makeup Sanitising Spray. You simply spray over eyeshadow palettes and powder products to kill any harmful bacteria that may be hiding on their surface.

Cleaning your makeup brushes and beauty tools is an essential part of any beauty regime. Regular cleaning will help to maintain the quality of your brushes and tools, prevent the spread of harmful bacteria, and improve the overall quality of your makeup application.

So, make sure to set aside some time each week to clean your brushes and tools, and enjoy the benefits of healthy and flawless skin!
